It’s that time of year… Spring is beginning to hint at making an appearance, spring break vacations are looming, and that New Year’s resolution motivation is wearing off, just when you want to drop some extra pounds.  Well how about trying the newest trend in working out… Doggy Fitness! Tricia Montgomery of Chicago has recently started a gym dedicated to working out with your 4 legged friend. It’s called the K9 Fit Club and features classes to help both you and your pooch drop some pounds. She came up with the idea after losing 130 pounds by working out with her dog, Louie.  Some of the classes include ‘Oh My Dog’ Boot Camp, ‘Dog Fit’ Dancing, Fun-gility, and the best (in my opinion), ‘Tai Chi Hua Hua’.  People really seem to be liking the concept as their K9s make the workout seem less tedious.  While it sounds ridiculous, I’m not gonna lie, I would totally do this with my dog, Tommy.  He actually comes out on shorter runs with me and loves the attention and the exercise… And me? I don’t want to be outdone by that little fur ball so I have extra motivation!  Gyms around the area might not appreciate you bringing your dog to work out, but maybe just grab a leash and get moving outside!

Just an idea…
