The 2014 Dubois County Community Foundation was a success as Team WBDC took home the 1st place spot! The winning team included Afternoon DJ Kelsey Merkel, her husband Quintin Merkel, general manager Bill Potter and his wife Janice, Judah DeLorenzo, and WBDC webmaster, Peter Marshall. WBDC listeners Del Bromm and Shelly Leathers were also part of the team and we were glad to have them!
This annual fundraising event is put on by the Dubois County Community Foundation and raised about $10,500 for the organization this year. As the winning team, WBDC was able to donate $500 to the Huntingburg Assistance Fund Endowment, a cause they support throughout the year. Find out more about the Foundation by visiting their website, dccommunityfoundation.org.
As this is the first year Team WBDC played without Ty Hunter, he is going to try and uphold his claim to being the ‘Smartest Person on the Planet’ Tuesday morning. Tune in at 9AM as DCCF Chief Executive Officer, Brad Ward joins us in studio to put Ty to the test and see if he could have contributed at all to the team.
