About Us
DCBroadcasting, Inc. was born on December 23, 1975 in Huntingburg, Indiana. On this day, 101 Country WBDC put its signal on the air. WBDC was the first radio station in Southwestern Indiana to not only program country music, but to program country music 24 hours a day. That was at a time when even the larger metropolitan area of nearby Evansville, Indiana did not have an FM country music station. The WBDC tradition continues today with the widest variety of country music both from today and yesterday all while keeping you informed with the most current news, weather, sports, and information.
WBDC also broadcasts it’s signal in the digital clarity of High Definition (HD). WBDC 100.9 FM / HD is a driving, positive force in the communities we serve providing news, weather, sports, information, and entertainment. WBDC pleases both a younger and older demographic with a mix of today’s hottest country hits and yesterday’s classics and targets a core demographic of 18 to 44 year olds with a secondary demographic of 24 to 54 year olds.
With over 48 years of tradition, our audience is loyal and ever growing. Since DCBroadcasting came into existence with the launching of 100.9FM WBDC, we’ve added three more radio stations WAXL 103.3FM, WORX 96.7FM/HD and WXGO 1270AM, and a television station 18 WJTS to our family. The radio stations collectively allow us to cover the entire Ohio River Valley in Southern Indiana.
